What Makes This Recipe Unique
Helpful Cooking Tips
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for the best fluffiness.
- Brush the rolls with egg wash before baking for a golden, shiny finish.
Step 1
In a bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt. Add the milk and knead until you get a soft dough. Then, add the oil and knead it in well. Lightly grease the bowl, place the dough inside, brush a little oil on top, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for about an hour until it doubles in size.
Step 2
While the dough is resting, heat some oil in a pan. Add the ginger-garlic paste and onions, and cook for a minute until fragrant. Toss in the chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, chili flakes, and cumin seeds, then stir well. Add the capsicum, mix everything together, then stir in the mayonnaise. Turn off the heat and set the filling aside.
Step 3
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and knead it briefly. Divide it into small balls. On a floured surface, flatten each ball, place some of the chicken filling in the center, then brush the edges with water and seal it tightly to form a bun.
Step 4
Place the buns on a baking tray, brush the tops with beaten egg, and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 6
Let them cool slightly, then enjoy your homemade chicken-filled buns!
